EVENT:

            The event will be horseshoes  (40 foot).

            The event is divided into the following divisions:

                                    Individual Men:                                Individual Women:

                                        Open                                                       Open

                                                     Doubles Men:                       Doubles Women:                          CoEd

                                                           Open                                     Open                                          Open

                  AWARDS: 

                Medals to all individuals (1st - 3rd places) in each divisions and age groups

SCHEDULING:

                This event will be held over 2 days, 1 day for each event - singles and doubles.

OFFICIALS 

Sport Coordinator:  Supervises all facets of event. 

  A Protest Committee consisting of the event coordinator, a neutral third party coach, and a member of the executive staff shall be assembled on matters regarding protests.  The decision rendered by this committee is final 

SCHEDULING 

A briefing to be held prior to the event will explain the rules and regulations, the start time and location, the weigh-in area and the weigh-in time.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

Competitors must bring their own horseshoes.  Extra pitching shoes (two sets) shall be provided by the USFFG.

Rules:
                   1. Coin flip determines choice of pit or opposing partner
                   2. Alternate this so next game initial loser of flip gets choice
                   3. Best of 3 games to 21 points , must win by 2 pts
                   4. Double elimination tournament
                   5. Ringer = 3 pts, shoe within 6" of stake =1 pt
                   6. Cancellation point system, ( ex. 1 ringer ea., 1pt = score 1 pt )
                   7. Ringer- straight edge must touch both points of shoe and not stake.
                   8. Independent  judge will determine if discrepancy arises
                   9. If shoe contacts any wood part of box - it must be removed from pit
                 10. Player/team to score   throws first next inning
                 11. No points scored - team/player to throw last now throws first
                 12. Leaners = 1 pt
                 13. May throw from either side of pit
